How to Integrate CallHippo with Ontraport

Connect Ontraport with CallHippo to sync your contacts into the dialer and log every call and SMS activity straight into your Ontraport notes.

Generate your Ontraport API credentials

Start in Ontraport to create the App ID and API Key that CallHippo will use.

1. Log in to your Ontraport account.
2. Click the user icon in the top-right corner and choose Administration.
   
3. On the Admin page, open Integrations and select Ontraport API Instructions and Key Manager.
   
4. Click New API Key.
   
5. Fill in the API Application details describing how you will use the API.
   
6. Select the required usage agreement checkboxes, then click Save.
   
7. On the next page, set the API Key permissions (name the key, choose the Contact Owner, and select the options), then click Save.
   
8. Your APP ID and API Key are now generated. Note them down for the next step.
   

Connect Ontraport in CallHippo

Now switch to CallHippo and finish the connection.

1. Log in to your CallHippo account.
2. From the left sidebar of your dashboard, click Integrations.
3. Find Ontraport and click the Connect button.
   
4. In the pop-up, enter your Ontraport App ID and App Key, then click Connect Now and wait to be redirected back to CallHippo.
   
5. Your Ontraport account is now successfully integrated and the status shows Integrated.
   

Features of the Ontraport integration

• Contact sync: All your Ontraport contacts are synced into the CallHippo dialer, and newly added contacts are synced automatically.
• Call activity: Any call made to or received from an Ontraport contact appears in the CallHippo dialer.
• Activity in Ontraport: Call and SMS activity is displayed in the Ontraport contact’s notes menu.

Limitations

• Updated contacts will not re-sync to CallHippo.
• Contacts deleted in Ontraport are not removed from the CallHippo dialer.
• New contacts sync within about half an hour. Incomplete or improperly formatted contacts will not sync to the dialer.

Where do I find my App ID and API Key?

Generate them in Ontraport under Administration > Integrations > Ontraport API Instructions and Key Manager by creating a New API Key. The values appear in the API Keys list once saved.
